The coast south of Quimper is one of Brittany's most dramatic — the Pays Bigouden stretches from Bénodet on the Odet estuary westward to the Pointe du Raz. Guilvinec, about 30 kilometres southwest, is one of France's most important fishing ports and an excellent place to watch the fleet come in and buy fresh fish direct from the quay. The corniche road along the coast between Bénodet and Loctudy passes through a series of small fishing villages worth stopping at.
The Crozon Peninsula, about 80 kilometres north, offers some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in Brittany — cliffs, heathland, and the Presqu'île de Crozon with its view across the Rade de Brest.
