Le Caprice

A solid brasserie on one of the main streets of the old town, good for a straightforward lunch of moules-frites, a fish of the day from Guilvinec or Douarnenez, or a well-executed steak with Breton butter sauce. The terrace is pleasant in summer and the wine list is reasonable.

This is the kind of place locals actually eat rather than a tourist trap — the prix-fixe lunch menus offer good value and change with the season. Worth knowing about for a meal that doesn't require advance planning.
