Aix has a TGV station — Aix-en-Provence TGV — about fifteen kilometres southwest of the city, on the main Paris-Marseille high-speed line. Trains from Paris take just over three hours; from Lyon, an hour and a half. A shuttle bus runs to the centre every twenty minutes.
In the centre itself, the smaller Aix-en-Provence train station handles regional trains from Marseille (45 minutes) and Pertuis. Long-distance coaches arrive at the bus station next door to the city train station; FlixBus and BlaBlaBus run direct services from Paris, Lyon, Geneva, and most major Mediterranean cities.
Marseille-Provence airport is half an hour south, with direct flights from across Europe and good connections to Paris and the major international hubs. Shuttle buses link the airport directly to Aix every half hour. Driving in from the autoroute is straightforward, but central parking is a nightmare — leave the car in one of the park-and-ride lots on the ring road and walk.
