The Argo Cable Car runs from the edge of the old town up to the top of Anuria Hill, climbing about 250 metres over a ten-minute ride. From the upper station there is a wide view of the whole of Batumi: the boulevard, the port, the modern skyline, and the green hills rolling inland toward the Lesser Caucasus.
At the top there is a small park, a restaurant, a children's playground, and a viewing platform. The station also sits next to a pleasant short walking trail through the hillside woodland. Tickets are sold for one way or return; many people take the cable car up and walk back down through the old neighbourhoods.
