Batumi keeps late hours through the summer. The old town and the boulevard between them carry most of the action: Georgian wine bars, Turkish-influenced shisha spots, beachfront cocktail terraces, and the kind of cafe-bookshop hybrids that the city does particularly well. Off-season, the choice thins out but a few reliable old-town bars stay open year-round.
