Baden-Baden works in any season. Spring brings the magnolias and the Iffezheim spring meeting. Summer is warm and busy with the Festspielhaus's summer programme. Autumn is the most atmospheric — Black Forest leaves turning, the late-summer racing meetings, and the harvest in the surrounding vineyards.
Winter is the secret good season: the town is quiet, the thermal baths feel even better when there is frost outside, and the Christmas market in the centre is among the prettiest in Germany. The casino, the Festspielhaus, and most museums run year-round.
