The Crooked House (Schiefes Haus) from the 15th/16th century is the best-known house in Ulm's old town, situated in the Fishermen's Quarter on the banks of the River Blau. According to the Guinness Book of Records, it has housed the "most crooked hotel" in the world since 1995. After a complex renovation it is preserved and secured in its distinctive tilted position.
