The Freiheitshalle is Hof's principal concert venue: a 1950s civic hall behind a modernist façade that hosts the resident Hofer Symphoniker orchestra, larger Filmtage screenings, and a steady programme of touring music and conference events. The main auditorium seats around 1,500.
The acoustics are decent rather than exceptional, but the Symphoniker put on consistently good programmes — a full symphonic season runs October to June, and chamber concerts in the foyer rooms continue through summer. Tickets are available from the box office on Kulmbacher Strasse or online.
