Würzburg Hauptbahnhof is on the main Frankfurt–Nuremberg ICE high-speed line, with trains to Frankfurt taking about an hour and to Nuremberg about an hour. It is also on the Intercity line to Munich (about 2 hours). The station is about a kilometre north of the old town centre, walkable in fifteen minutes. By car, Würzburg sits at the junction of the A3 (Frankfurt–Nuremberg) and A7 motorways — the A3 passes right through the city.
