Beck's Brewery

Beck's Brewery offers guided tours of its premises near the Weser docks, covering the brewing process, the history of the company, and the export trade that made Beck's one of Germany's most internationally recognised beers. The tour ends with a tasting session in the historic bottling hall. Tours run daily (booking recommended in summer) and cost around €7–9 per person including tasting.

The brew house is a striking piece of industrial architecture, and the history of how a Bremen brewery came to be found in every corner of the world is genuinely interesting.

A story
Beck's was founded in 1873 and became the first German beer to be exported to the UK in 1876, beginning its rise to become one of the world's best-selling German beers. The company remained independent and Bremen-owned until 2002, when it was sold to Interbrew (now AB InBev) — a sale that still causes some local feeling.
