Getting There

Bremen Airport (BRE) is small and well-connected to the city centre by tram line 6, which runs directly to the main train station in about 15 minutes. It handles flights from European destinations including London, Amsterdam, and several German cities.

By train, Bremen Hauptbahnhof is on the main Hamburg-Cologne corridor with fast IC and ICE connections to Hamburg (under an hour), Hanover (40 minutes), and Cologne (around two and a half hours). Travelling from Berlin takes around three hours. The station is five minutes walk north of the Altstadt.

By car, Bremen sits at the junction of the A1 and A27 motorways. Parking in the old town is limited; park-and-ride facilities on the edge of the city are recommended.
