Krameramtswohnungen is a narrow courtyard of 17th-century merchants' widows' apartments near St. Michael's Church. The timber-framed houses are among the last surviving examples of this kind of old Hamburg housing, and one apartment is preserved as a small museum showing domestic life before the city's modern redevelopment.
