Bermuda3Eck Street Food

The city's main eating and drinking district with kebabs, pizza, and cheap eats

Address Viktoriastrasse / Kortumstrasse, 44787 Bochum

The Bermuda3Eck — roughly the triangle bounded by Viktoriastrasse, Kortumstrasse, and the surrounding streets — concentrates more restaurants and takeaways per square metre than anywhere else in Bochum. The quality varies widely: German pubs with proper Schnitzel, Turkish restaurants and döner stalls that stay open until late, Italian places aimed at the student crowd, and a few newer options serving burgers and pan-Asian food.

For a cheap, filling lunch after the Mining Museum, the kebab places on Kortumstrasse are reliable. For a sit-down evening meal, the Italian restaurants on the east side of the triangle are a step up in quality. The whole area gets crowded on Thursday and Friday nights — arriving early avoids the wait.
