A working brewpub on the Rhine embankment near the Hagendenkmal, with the river running just outside the windows. House beers — a clear hellesnatur, a dunkles, and a wheat — are brewed on site; the food is solidly German with seasonal additions (asparagus in May, game in autumn).
The big riverside terrace is the right answer on a warm evening. Inside, the long wooden tables fill up after work and on Sundays. Reservations sensible for the terrace on weekends.
