Frankfurt Airport is the nearest international gateway, around 75 km north, with direct ICE trains running south. From Mainz, Mannheim, or Heidelberg the regional trains take 25–45 minutes and run several times an hour; Worms is comfortably an easy half- or full-day trip from any of them. The Worms Hauptbahnhof is a ten-minute walk from the cathedral.
By car, A61 (Koblenz–Speyer) runs along the west edge of town. Parking is straightforward in the multi-storey lots near the train station. The old town itself is small and almost entirely walkable.
