Worms has solid Pfälzer and modern German cooking in the streets immediately around the cathedral and the Marktplatz. The cooking leans into the local — Saumagen, Spundekäs, fresh white asparagus in spring — and the wine lists are good without exception (this is the southern edge of Rheinhessen, the country's largest wine region by acreage). The Stadtmauer and Kämmerer-Strasse have the most concentration of decent places.
