The main Lutheran parish church of Worms, finished in 1725 in a sober baroque idiom — pilasters, volutes, an open belfry. The facade survived the 1945 bombing largely intact; the interior did not, and was rebuilt in the 1950s in a clean, modernist style that contrasts strikingly with the historic exterior.
The church sits on the Marktplatz one block north of the cathedral and is often used for evening concerts (the acoustics are good). The pre-war pulpit and altar fragments are displayed in the narthex.
