Getting There

Leipzig-Halle Airport (LEJ) serves the city with connections to major European hubs; Ryanair and Wizz Air run budget routes from London Stansted and several Eastern European cities. The airport has a direct rail link to the main station, taking 14 minutes.

Leipzig Hauptbahnhof is one of Germany's busiest railway stations and has excellent connections. Berlin takes just over an hour by ICE, Frankfurt around three hours, Munich around four. Flixbus and similar operators run intercity coaches, usually slower but cheaper.

By car, Leipzig sits at the junction of the A9 (Berlin–Munich) and A14 motorways, making it straightforward to reach from most directions.
