Agia Marina

Agia Marina is Aegina's main beach resort, a small village on the eastern coast about 13 km from the main port. The beach is long, sandy, and equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, and watersports hire, making it the most organised beach on the island. A cluster of tavernas, cafes, and small hotels lines the waterfront.

The village sits directly below the Temple of Aphaia, whose hilltop is clearly visible from the beach — making Agia Marina a logical base if you want to combine swimming with the island's main archaeological site. In summer it gets busy with Athenian weekenders; outside July and August, it is quieter and the sea is still warm well into October.
