A row of cafes and bars lines the promenade on the eastern side of Lake Voulismeni, competing for table space with the gentle theatre of boats, water, and tourists. There is no single outstanding establishment — they are all much of a muchness — but the setting makes any of them a good choice for breakfast, mid-morning coffee, or evening drinks.
The cafe on the narrow footbridge over the channel that connects the lake to the sea has the most distinctive position, with water on two sides and views across the harbour. Prices are slightly higher than back-street equivalents, which you pay for the location.
