Ios is as famous for its nightlife as Mykonos. In July and August the bars and clubs in Chora fill from midnight onwards, and the party continues until dawn. The main action concentrates in the lanes of the upper Chora. Mylopotas beach resort also has beach bars and clubs that come alive in the afternoon and evening. If you are not here for the nightlife, June and September are considerably calmer.
