Ios is connected to the rest of the Cyclades by ferry and high-speed hydrofoil from the port of Yialos.
Ferries run daily to Piraeus (7 hours), Paros, Naxos, Santorini, and Mykonos. Less frequent services connect to Sikinos, Folegandros, Anafi, Syros, Amorgos, Milos, and Crete.
Hydrofoils and catamarans offer faster connections to Santorini (30 minutes), Naxos (50 minutes), Paros, Mykonos, and other Cycladic islands.
