The largest of the small islands off Lefkada's east coast, reached by frequent car ferry from Nydri. Meganisi has three villages — Vathi, Katomeri, and Spartochori — and a coastline of small sandy and pebble coves that are mostly only accessible by sea.
Day trips from Nydri usually combine Meganisi with a circuit of Skorpios and Madouri. If you have time, stay overnight: Meganisi after the day boats leave is one of the quietest places in the Ionian.
