A village and small harbour at the southwestern corner of Lefkada, ringed by mountains. Vasiliki has been a fixture on the international windsurfing circuit since the 1980s — the geography produces an almost daily afternoon thermal wind ("Eric" to the windsurfers) that builds from gentle morning conditions to force 6 or 7 by mid-afternoon, ideal for beginners in the morning and advanced sailors later in the day.
A handful of long-established windsurfing schools rent gear and offer lessons. The bay also has the main car-ferry connection to Kefalonia and Ithaki.
