Getting Around

The island is roughly 10 km long and 4 km wide — small but hilly. The single bus runs Gaios–Loggos–Lakka several times a day, usually four or five services in summer. Schedules are posted at the Gaios harbour.

For more flexibility, scooters and small motorbikes are easy to hire in any of the three villages. Cars can be rented in Gaios but the lanes are narrow and parking is scarce — a scooter is the local solution. Taxis exist but are few and pricey. Water-taxis along the east coast are quicker than driving for short hops between villages, and not much more expensive than land transport.
