Paxi has very little sand. What it has is pebble — pale, smooth, often surprisingly clear water — and an east coast crinkled with small coves. Nothing here is a long beach holiday in the usual sense; the swimming spots are pockets you reach by foot, scooter, or dinghy.
The best of them include Marmari and Levrechio on the east coast between Loggos and Lakka, Kipiadi further north, and Mongonissi at the southern tip — the only beach with road access, a bar, and parasols. For real sand and turquoise water, you cross to Antipaxos.
