The fish taverna at the eastern end of Kokkari's seafront strip serves grilled red mullet, anchovies, octopus stewed in red wine, and a particularly good house horiatiki with Samian feta. Tables are set on the pebble beach and the food comes out of a tiny kitchen at the back.
It fills up quickly in season; arrive before 8pm or after 10pm to avoid the wait. The prices are reasonable for a beachfront taverna and the wine list runs entirely to Samos labels.
