Gagkou is a small pebbly beach just north of Samos town, close enough to reach on foot from the ferry port in about 15 minutes. The water is relatively shallow and sheltered from the wind, with a mix of pebbles and sandy patches underfoot.
Sun loungers are usually available, and there are bars and cafes along the seafront. It is a practical beach rather than a wild one, best when you want a quick swim without leaving Vathy.
