Lalaria Beach

Lalaria is the most photographed beach on Skiathos — smooth white pebbles beneath sheer limestone cliffs, with a natural rock arch at the eastern end and water of an extraordinary deep blue. It is only accessible by excursion boat from Skiathos Town (there is no road or walking trail), which keeps it from becoming as crowded as the south coast beaches. Boats typically arrive mid-morning and leave after a couple of hours, so the beach is quietest early and late in the day.

The pebbles reflect the sun intensely and get very hot by midday — bring sandals to walk on them. The swimming is excellent, with the sea floor dropping away quickly to deep, clear water.
