Deák Square Lutheran Church is Budapest's best-known Lutheran church and one of the city's older Protestant landmarks. Its plain Classical facade, Doric pilasters, and towerless form make it feel quite different from the grand Catholic churches nearby.
Because it stands close to Deák Ferenc tér, it is an easy stop while crossing central Pest. The appeal is quiet rather than spectacular: a restrained church in one of Budapest's busiest pieces of urban fabric.
