Jewish Cemetery

Budapest's large Jewish cemetery in Kozma Street is known for its unusually elaborate tombs and mausoleums. Several are built in Art Nouveau and Jugendstil styles, with sculpted figures and architectural detail that make the cemetery feel more like an open-air memorial landscape than a simple burial ground.

It is outside the central tourist circuit, but worth the trip if you are interested in Jewish Budapest, funerary art, or the city's late-19th-century architecture.
