Budapest's Museum of Fine Arts stands on Heroes' Square at the edge of City Park. The neoclassical building, completed in 1906, holds Hungary's main collection of international art, with Egyptian, classical, old master, sculpture, and graphic art departments.
The museum is especially strong for European painting and has one of the most important Spanish collections outside Spain. It combines well with Heroes' Square, Vajdahunyad Castle, the zoo, and Szechenyi Thermal Bath in the same park area.
