The Zugliget Chair-lift, or Libego, is one of Budapest's simplest pleasures: an open seat rising slowly from leafy Zugliget toward Janos Hill. On a clear day it turns the Buda Hills into a moving viewpoint, with the city spreading out behind the trees as you climb.
At the top, continue to the Elizabeth Lookout Tower if you want the full panorama. It is best treated as a fair-weather outing, since wind and maintenance can stop service and the ride is deliberately exposed.
