Miskolc's restaurant scene is modest but improving. The city has a handful of good Hungarian restaurants in the centre, and the thermal resort area at Miskolctapolca has a cluster of cafes and food options. Expect solid traditional Hungarian cooking — goulash, stuffed cabbage, fish from Lake Tisza — rather than much international variety outside the centre.
