Sopron's Lutheran Cemetery is a quiet 19th-century burial ground with more architectural interest than its plain name suggests. It opened in 1886 and includes a Greek-style mortuary from around 1900, an Art Nouveau domed mortuary from 1905, and the Lenk family mausoleum from 1887.
It is worth a short detour if you like old cemeteries, funerary architecture, or the quieter edges of Sopron's history.
