Gulya Hill rises just outside Veszprem's historic core, giving the city a close, green lookout rather than a distant excursion. Trails climb through woodland to viewpoints over the viaduct, castle ridge, and surrounding Bakony landscape.
It is a good counterweight to the old-town sights. Come for a walk, not a formal attraction, and use it to see how compact Veszprem is: stone streets and church towers on one side, wooded hills almost immediately on the other.
