The Margaret Ruins are the remains of the medieval St. Catherine Dominican nunnery, founded in the 13th century. Saint Margaret of Hungary, daughter of King Béla IV, lived here as a child before moving to the convent on Margaret Island in Budapest.
The ruins are modest, but they add a useful medieval layer to a walk through Veszprém's castle district and old ecclesiastical core.
