A neat Victorian park one block from the seafront, with bandstands, flowerbeds, and a good amount of sitting space. It's popular with families and the after-church Sunday crowd. The trees are mature and the park feels genuinely old in a way that the tidied-up seafront does not.
The Sunday market (typically 11am–4pm) fills the park with food stalls and is a good reason to time your visit. The rest of the week it's quiet and useful for a sit-down between walking the piers.
