Ladies View is the postcard viewpoint on the road through Killarney National Park, looking back over lakes, wooded slopes and the layered folds of the Kerry mountains. The name is tied to Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting, but the view has outgrown the anecdote.
It is easy to stop here on a Ring of Kerry drive, which also means it can be busy. Still, the composition is genuinely fine, and in shifting weather the lakes and mountains change by the minute.
