The national park and the lakes dominate what there is to do around Killarney. Ross Castle and Muckross are the main historical sights; the Gap of Dunloe is the most dramatic landscape. Most of the park is accessible on foot, by jaunting car (horse-drawn trap), or by boat on the lakes.
