Douglas is served by the Isle of Man Airport at Ronaldsway, about 15 kilometres south of the town. Flights operate to London Heathrow, Manchester, Liverpool, Belfast, Dublin, and a handful of other UK and Irish airports. The airport is small and easy to navigate; a bus service connects to Douglas centre in about 30 minutes.
By sea, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company operates year-round ferry services from Heysham in Lancashire (about 3.5 hours) and Liverpool (about 2.5 hours by fast craft, 4 hours by conventional ferry). Car ferries carry vehicles, which is the easiest way to explore the island's roads. During TT week, all ferry and flight capacity books out months in advance.
