Things to Do

Douglas's sights are clustered along the promenade and in the compact town centre. The Manx Museum on Kingswood Grove is the best starting point for understanding the island's history. The Tower of Refuge in the bay and the Victorian horse-drawn trams on the promenade are the most distinctive visual features of the town. For TT week in June, the whole town becomes the attraction — a motorcycle festival unlike anything else in the world.
