Prati di Tivo is the main resort access point on the Teramo side of Gran Sasso. It sits below the dramatic northern faces of the massif and is a useful launch point for walks, chairlift-assisted viewpoints, and winter snow days.
The atmosphere is more practical mountain station than polished alpine resort. That is part of its appeal: you come for the view of Corno Piccolo and the access to trails, not for boutique gloss.
