Gran Sasso is about high-country walking, views, and mountain roads. The headline route is toward Corno Grande, usually from Campo Imperatore, while Prati di Tivo gives access from the Teramo side. Non-hikers can still enjoy the plateau drive, the botanical garden, and the strange science-and-war stories beneath the mountain.
