Crotone's bar scene is concentrated around Piazza Pitagora and the Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The passeggiata runs from around 6pm until dinner time, when the cafes and bars fill up with a cross-section of the city. Evening drinks tend to be aperitivi with local products — Calabrian wines, limoncello made from the coast's superb lemons, or a bitter digestivo.
