Getting Around

The centre of Reggio di Calabria is walkable. The Lungomare connects the main sights along the seafront, and the museum, cathedral, and castle are all within comfortable walking distance of each other. City buses cover the wider urban area.

Getting to Aspromonte national park and the surrounding hill towns requires a car or organised tour — public transport into the mountains is limited. Rental cars are available at the airport. For the beaches south of the city, local buses run from the central bus station to the coastal strip.
