The finest thermal park on the island sits in wooded hills above Casamicciola. Ten pools cascade down the terraced hillside at different temperatures, each with a different mineral character — sulphur, bicarbonate, chloride — used for relaxation and for treating everything from arthritis to skin conditions. A funicular connects the entrance at the top to the beach at the bottom, where sun loungers and umbrellas are included in the entry price.
The setting is genuinely beautiful: tall pines shade the upper terraces, and the view over the bay opens up as you descend. Five bus lines stop at the entrance on Via Castiglione.
