Bellaria Beach

The beach at Bellaria-Igea Marina stretches for several kilometres along the Adriatic, broad and sandy with calm, shallow water that makes it well suited for families with children. Like most of the Romagna Riviera, it is organised around stabilimenti — private beach clubs that rent out sunbeds, umbrellas, and cabins by the day or week. Each stabilimento has its own name, colours, and regular clientele, and in high summer the beach takes on the character of an outdoor living room shared between neighbours who return year after year. Smaller free-beach strips (spiagge libere) exist between the concessions if you prefer to lay your own towel. The beach runs through both the Bellaria and Igea Marina halves of town, connected by the waterfront promenade that becomes the focus of evening life once the heat of the day fades.
