Palazzo del Giardino

Palazzo del Giardino stands in Parma's Ducal Park, a short walk from the river and the Palazzo della Pilotta. It was built in the 16th century for Ottavio Farnese and later expanded, giving this side of the park a courtly setting rather than just open green space.

The palace is mainly an exterior sight, as it is used by the Carabinieri, but the building and park together make a worthwhile detour when exploring Parma's Farnese landmarks.
