Pomposa is essentially its abbey. Start with the abbey church and its astonishing painted interior, climb your gaze up the bell tower, then make time for the much quieter chapter house and refectory and the small abbey museum. With more time, push on into the surrounding Po Delta Regional Park for a cycle ride or a boat trip.
